Halloween

Halloween 2011 Sunday 11/23/2011 the only time we find that was free for everyone. Sorry I have not been very good at posting but we are all busy.

I started a new blog you can check it out at mustangsofutah@wordpress.com This site is dedicated to the wild horses of Utah even though you may see some posted in Colorado and Nevada, Hopefully from Wyoming in a later issue or date.

This is always a fun time for Karen to see all the little ones dressed up in there Halloween costumes and to visit and get a bite to eat.

Following are the pictures taken tonight at our party. It was just right even though it started to get cold after the sun went down.

St. Patriicks Day - Really Day Before

Wild Horses on Link Flats between Copper Globe and the Muddy River out in the San Rafael Swell area South of Justensen Flats or Moore exit. I really love the color of the paint horse in this picture. I thing she is really pretty. Pete K a friend from work looking down into Reds Canyon from on top of the San Rafael Swell bewteen Link Flats and Copper Globe mine. Below him is the Mining Ghost town (Lucky Strike Mine) Uranium Mine.
This is the mining Ghost Town or Lucky Strike Mine in the bottom of Reds Canyon. You get to Reds Canyon by taking the trails south of Swasey's Cabin out in the San Rafael Swell . You take exit 131 and go south of the freeway.
One herd of wild horse at the head of the Copper Globe area. We saw four different bunches of horses here with a total of 13 head. Most were bays and blacks with one paint.

South High Cubs Day Out

Trip out to Dugway North just West of Iosepa 8 miles in Skull Valley

Grandpa's Extracurricular Activities

Picture of the helicopter used to rpound up wild horses. We are on the west side of the House Range next to the Nevada border just North of Garrison Utah aout 20 miles. The BLM are rounding up the Sulphur Wild horses. This is a catch and release management of wild horses. Meaning that they willl return most all of the horses minus some of the colts and non original spanish barb mustangs back into the area. Typical spanish barb mustang. The most original descendants from the Spanish Conquistadors horses left in the country as they traveld through it many years ago.
These horse are alot smaller than the domestic horse. They usually have a dorsal stripe down there back and tiger markings on the legs, along with a multi colored tail, there main is multi directional.

Helicopter and horse. You would think they got a way, but you would be wrong. They eventually got them all into the trap.

Grandkids Birthdays

What a darling. How she loves her own pillow from Grandma. Now she will not have to take her sister's pillow that Grandma made, she has her own. ALl three have to get in the act. Boy we have some cute, smart grandkids.

I am just thinking wait till I get the Cake and Ice Cream, boy is it going to be good!

Grandkids Birthdays

What a sweetheart. Packy's 5th birthday. Everyone needs to get in the action. One suggestion, buy three, so they all have their own toy. I can just see the mess coming. Ice cream, Cake and a happy 5 year old.

Christmas in Texas

Two little love bugs at the zoo Little darling in the rain. It reminds me of all little kids, they just love jumping in the rain puddles after a rain storm. There will always be a chance to jump in puddles in Texas.

Taylors Flat - Browns Park

These pictures are for the boys. I was asked to help out one of the District Engineers who could not finish his surveys this year. To bad Karen and went to Browns Park at Halloween. I culd have got the State to pay for the trip if I only had known earlier. Went out on November 30 and December 1 to Browns Park to do three BLM campgrounds. Saw about 12 big bucks during the trip just up from John Jarvie Historical Site and across the Green River on Taylors FLat. Three of the deer that I shot ..........................with my camera.
