Taylors Flat - Browns Park

These pictures are for the boys. I was asked to help out one of the District Engineers who could not finish his surveys this year. To bad Karen and went to Browns Park at Halloween. I culd have got the State to pay for the trip if I only had known earlier. Went out on November 30 and December 1 to Browns Park to do three BLM campgrounds. Saw about 12 big bucks during the trip just up from John Jarvie Historical Site and across the Green River on Taylors FLat. Three of the deer that I shot ..........................with my camera.

One Friendly Cat

Update Two Weeks in A Row

As you will see we have some beautiful Grandkids. We had Todd's kids over for the day and had a really good time with them. Autin was over to cut the grass and helped the girls and Grandma pick vegetables.

A sad note to the day was when they found Morris. He had died and we had a burial for him that day. Everyone was sad and are looking forward to seeing Morris again in Kitty Heaven.

Morris was a good cat. He was part of our family for a long long time. We will miss him and the grandkids will miss him. We love you Morris.

Fall Leaves

Elise in the beautiful fall leaves. The other two grandkids were a sleep in the truck.

Austin getting the cobwebs out of the oittle bkie. I am surprized it started. It hasn't been out pof the shed since July 2010. The kids just love to ride the little bike. Elise entartaining Grandma, I'm not sure if Grandma is happy or not but at least Elise is having a good time.

Cedar Mountain HMA - Skull Valley

Cedar Mountain HMA - in Skull Valley West of Iosepa and North of Dugway. Band of Wild Horses that heard the shutter on the camera and retreated to safety. We Were 25 feet from these magnificient creatures it was just Awesome!
The herd stallion came bact to investigate. The only thing I could think of is that he heard the shutter on the camera since I was shooting 5-7 shots at a time.

Two year old or yearling running past us.

Mare and colt running past us.

Wild Horse Roundup - Conger and Confusion HMA

Wild Horses on the Conger HMA - This is located west of Delta about 20 miles east of the Utah Nevada line and 20 miles Noerth of Highway 6 & 50. The Stud leading this band will be released along with some of his mares, but the colts and most of the other ones will put up for adoption or if not adopted will be held in a holding facility and feed the rest of their lives.
Conger HMA Horses

Confusion HMA Stallion. As you can see these horses are quite smaller than the Conger HMA's. They have good feed but have to travel 20-25 miles each day for water. there are just two water sources in the area and they are a long way apart.

I loved the picture of the gray stallion with his mane a flying in the breeze while he ran.

Sunday Sepotember 17, 2010 Catchin up on stuff

Boy has it been since May 2010 that I last updated my blog. It has, I wonder where time has flown. It has been a busy summer with work, family stuff and personal play time.
I cannot remeber what took place in June 2010. I know I was busy and that we did do some things with the family but cannot remember much.

July came and went. We did have the lost Olsen's from College Station up for a couple of week in july. We spent time at the cabin on July 4th, 2010 with some of the Olsen posterity. Somewhere in July we found time to take a much needed family picture.

In August not much happened but work and helping mother out, with one trip with Mark and Maren and clan to cut firewood.

September was spent doing work and looking at wild horse. Three times in Three week. Conger HMA, Confusion HMA and Cear Mountain HMA. The first two was wild horse roundups and the last one was just for fun. At the Cedar Mountain HMA I was within 25-30 feet of two different bands of four horses. Almost got run over by one band coming in for water.

dump anything in there. If I am looking
for something and I can not find it , yes it is
probably in the firepit. What a cute kid.

All the grand kids love the trampoline.

Mason alone on the tramp.

Cassie in the swing.

Finally got her smiling with my old camera.

Texas - Florida Vacation March 2010

Karen and myself are taking a well deserved vacation. We are spending some time with our Texas kids. We flew down on Monday to Houston and Kyle & family picked us up at the airport in Houston. We then drove back to College Station, Texas & stayed Monday night at their house.

The next day Tuesday, we spent time with the Grandkids, went shopping for food and then drove back down to Houston. Had dinner at Joe's Crab shack and tended the grandkids while Kyle and Racheal went to the Temple.

Wednesday we got up had breakfast and then went swimming in he pool at the motel. Later that day we went to the Houston Rodeo. This was an all day event with the climax of the rodeo and concert. What a fun day with our kids.

Today Thursday, we are going to the Botanical Gardens by the airport and then say good bye to our kids in Texas. It was sure good to see them and we are not looking forward to leaving them so soon. We will miss these cute little grandkids.

Thursday afternoon we fly to Orlando Florida for Karen's conference and willl spend the rest of the week sight seeing in Orlando.

More to come as time permits.
Mutton Busting at the Houston Rodeo. Our little Grand daughter Karlie really wanted to do this but she is 4 years old and the age limit was 5 and above. Maybe next year. Grandpa doing his activity during Home teaching.
One of my favorite pictures of Karlie and Grandma riding the camel at the Houston Rodeo.

Wea re visiting with our grandkids from Texas. Karen and I are on a trip to Florida and stopped by to see the Texas kids. We had just finished our Home Teaching lesson and was playing one of Karlie's favorite games. This is Brooklyn crawling under the candlesticks. Here is Karen doing her thing of polishing the floors during Home Teaching activity.
